I just read a news in my feeds from Google. They have just launched a complete version of Google News in Hindi. Wow! That’s amazing. As usual, I clicked on the link, and I was taken to the webpage. It looks stunning.
Many a times while searching for information on Internet we come across webpages that are actually in any other language. Worse still, sometimes they are the only pages that have some information (only single digit results in Google). This is common for people whose native language is not English.
Ohloh.net seems to be a great tool for finding out the statistics of an open-source
project. I was browsing through the SharpDevelop
website, when I happened to look at a counter displaying all sorts of summary - lines
of code, developers, cost, time spent, licensing model, activity percentage. I was attracted
to the counter in the first glance. This was something unusual in the world of badges
where we find more of them representing the technology used, the target technology and the
projects that power the service.
After a nice weekend, I am back to work today. It’s a lovely day out here, with drizzle going on. The weather is too pleasant that I can’t escape being romantic. But, work needs to be done. With nothing much in the office today, I continue with my take on the Java and .NET debate.

Recently a friend sent me a mail (just another chain mail) with the title
101 Reasons why Java is Better than .NET. The title was so catchy, that
I got to read it at the very instance. I read for the next 10 minutes and
read each and every word twice. I was left pondering on the apartheid and
ignorant attitude of the author, who compiled such a list. Either he must
have been a JAVA fanatic or must be a student in a hurry to submit his
reports. With this thought I smiled on the authors ignorance and went on
to continue with my work.

While reading about unit testing, I was wondering if there was a way to find out the number of test cases that would be needed to test the class completely. A large class can have large number of independent execution paths, which would be adopted. There are execution points which are independent of each other. This may lead to a situation where an execution path is covered while testing, but has not been specifically tested. So a 100% code coverage does not necessarily reflect 100% testing of the code.
